What is the best neighborhood in LA, CA to live for a single Asia female professional ?

I would like to rent an apt or condos in L.A I hope the place will be safe, secure, classy, easy commute.

If I consider buying, instead of renting, where should I go? Thanks for help in advance.

    Easy commute to where???

The San Gabriel Valley if filled with Asians..

    Some parts of Pasadena
    South Pasadena
    San Gabriel
    Monterey Park
    Arcadia
    Temple City
    Rosemead
    Alhambra
all these cities are somewhat nice and near the freeways for easy commute and contain a lot of Asians.

As a professional, if you prefer to be in an area with others of the “Asian” community, you should take a hard look at Cerritos. It is an upper middle class community that is very clean, modern, and quite safe. It also has a very good school system if you plan to have children in the future. This would be an excellent place to buy a home.

Second best choice would be Westminster just a few miles down the freeway from Cerritos. Same attributes, except it is a little older community.

You don’t mention where your work is or will be. However, I think the first consideration should be living near to work, so long as that is safe. I do not like the suggestions that would isolate you in an “Asian neighborhood” as some have said. Los Angeles is a very open city, and look for somewhere you like and can afford that is 1. near work, 2. safe, 3. affordable, and so on. The communities mentioned are nice, but if they are not near your work, then no.

Maybe write us back with more on your location?

Obviously Monterey Park or Alhambra are the best for you. There is a huge Asian comunnityt in both cities, you will feel like in your country.

First, find your job. Then move to the community mentioned above that is closest to your job.

Also, in the OC, check out Fullerton, Fountain Valley, and Garden Grove. Nguyen you are ready to check it out, just take the Tranh.

Oh yeah, Hacienda Heights, but that’s just over the border in LA County.
